Neuroscientists used to think our behavior modules were relatively fixed in the brain. If you have ever wanted to help someone change, it certainly seemed that way! But a more recent look at brain function tells another story: genes that turn on and off, neurons that die and ones that are newly budding. The brainís willingness to change, adapt, create new circuits, prune and create new neurons is now understood as brain plasticity. Our brains are responsive and flexible so we are actually able to change how we function, to change the way we think and behave.
But how can we get inside our heads and help the brain make the changes we want?
Hello Meditation. Adepts have been getting inside their heads for ages and have given humanity a vast technology for directing the mind to direct the brain and vice versa.
